Our take
I picked up the Signature Fitness 5-lb hex dumbbells for light resistance training and they serve the purpose well. The rubber coating gives a decent grip and doesn't slip during curls or presses. The hex shape is nice for stability on the floor, but I wish the handles were slightly thicker for a more secure hold. At $15, they're affordable for a pair, but don't expect premium knurling or balance. For basic toning or rehab work, these are fine. Just note that the rubber can have a slight odor initially, but it fades.
